Princess Anya has a big problem: Duke Rikard, her step-stepfather is an evil wizard who wants to rule the kingdom and has a habit of changing people into frogs, and her older sister Morven, the heir, is a wimp--so with the help of the librarian Gotfried (who turns into an owl when he is upset), and the Royal Dogs, she must find away to defeat Rikard, save her sister, and maybe even turn Prince Denholm back into a human being.

A decent and funny book submitted by hduke on July 28, 2018, 3:10pm Entertaining enough to hold my attention long enough to finish, this was a pretty decent book. I probably won't reread it ever, but worth the couple of hours I spent smiling at the humor and adventures of princess Anya.

delightful, if a bit young submitted by naturej1girl on July 8, 2019, 10:34pm I truly enjoyed this book. It is in no way a take on the princess and the frog, but more of your typical adventure with a quest. It did remind me of the twin princesses of bamarre. The writing style was a bit better suited for younger readers, it is more on the tween side of teen fantasy then the young adult, but the plot and characters definitely made it still worthwhile, and i did laugh out loud a few times over the characters wit. If you are looking for a book to read, this is a great one, but i would never move it to the front of a reading list.
