Ravi has just moved to the United States from India and has always been at the top of his class; Joe has lived in the same town his whole life and has learning problems--but when their lives intersect in the first week of fifth grade they are brought together by a common enemy (the biggest bully in their class) and the need to take control of their lives.

Good book submitted by Team_ROX on July 22, 2018, 8:24am This is a good book about a girl in school

Packs a lot of punch submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on June 12, 2021, 9:21pm A short but powerful YA book that only encompasses a school week, but is both easy to read, fun and interesting, and makes a whole lot of great points. Written alternately by two authors to voice the two main characters, this short book packs a lot of punch. Recommended, probably for mid-elementary to perhaps early middle school readers (guessing grades 3-6?).

Excellent submitted by jcottey on August 14, 2021, 5:59pm This great book goes back and forth from the points of view of two boys in the same school class. One is new to the country and one is bullied at school. They get to know each other as we understand the struggles they both face.

Save me a seat submitted by lzadl28 on January 30, 2022, 3:20pm One of the great book you must read in mid-elementary

Good submitted by cheon.eunjae on June 26, 2022, 9:39am I first read this for a school assignment, and it was very good. It is a really awesome book for younger readers. It talks about immigration, fitting in, and hard issues like bullying.
