Solar System submitted by SBNB on August 21, 2017, 9:23pm I really liked reading this book with my kids. It's fun and educational.

Perfect submitted by VanCancue on June 26, 2018, 11:17am Perfect for beginners. Very easy with key points regarding the planets for beginning learners.

Includes Pluto! submitted by Meginator on June 23, 2019, 8:06pm I enjoyed this book’s combination of patchwork and painted artistic styles, with the former used for landscape scenes and the latter used to depict the Sun, Moon, and nine planets (yes, Pluto does make an appearance!). The text is appropriate for young readers and broadly introduces each celestial body with fun facts that they can comprehend and remember. Despite some of the planets looking really cool, I wasn’t much of a fan of McDonald’s depictions of heavily cratered bodies; Mercury and the Moon look kind of strange, while Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune are absolutely beautiful. Still, it’s difficult to find too much to complain about; this is a nice early introduction to the Solar System.
