Another great story submitted by goreygirl on June 21, 2017, 11:46pm As a fan of Lisa See's work this book did not disappoint. I learned so much about the Akha people and the role of ethnic minorities in China. This story also puts a very different spin on the large # of Chinese babies (mostly girls of course) adopted by Americans and others - it's not quite as simple as it may have seemed in the past. Lastly, the tea culture, cultivation, selling and history is fascinating. A page turner that I can't stop thinking about.
