Odd book submitted by crazypockets on February 16, 2012, 6:59pm This is sort of an odd book with a mix of photography, knitting patterns, history, and even recipes. While there are some beautiful photos in it, and the history blurbs might be interesting to someone who wants to learn about Ireland, as a knitting book, I have to say I wasn't very impressed. The patterns in here were...for lack of a better word: odd. I'm not sure if they were outdated, or if they even were considered stylish at one time. Anyway, not a bad book exactly, just strange.

To add to the first review submitted by sara on August 15, 2013, 2:35pm I agree with what crazypockets said, but, Maggie uses a lot of interesting textures in her patterns. I would use some of the textures in different (more classic style) knits.
