Educational submitted by TLW1998 on July 13, 2019, 10:19am Great companion book to learn more facts about the Amazon (MT#6)

Good Entry-Level Book submitted by Meginator on July 6, 2023, 9:29pm This standalone companion book to the corresponding Magic Tree House adventure provides a solid introduction to the plant and animal life within the world’s rainforests. The authors balance general information about rainforests’ composition and the ways that the environment influences local life forms with more detailed looks at specific plants, animals, and indigenous cultures. While much of the focus lies, understandably, on the Amazon Rainforest, the book does include information about rainforest regions in Africa and Asia, including a feature on the Mbuti people. Fairly comprehensive yet also accessible, this is a great entry-level book for readers who want to learn more about the facts behind Jack and Annie’s adventures.
