one of the best dragon books I have EVER read submitted by bshields on May 14, 2008, 7:10pm Dragon rider is an exiting and adventurous tale of a silver dragon (Firedrake), a brownie (Sorrel), and a single abandoned human boy age of about 12 (Ben) go on a spectacular adventure, which taught them the true meaning of home.

yes submitted by unknown on August 2, 2013, 8:08pm This book is extremely good on audio book as well.

fabulous quest submitted by camelsamba on August 24, 2015, 10:09pm The basic plot is friends on a quest. But the friends are an assortment of humans and magical creatures, and the quest requires them to travel over land and sea and encounter many more beings - both fabulous* and mundane, some out to get them and some willing to help. A few of the characters are rather one-dimensional, but the overall story is quite entrancing. The whole family enjoyed it. We listened to it as a book on CD, and really enjoyed the narrator.

[the definition of fabulous includes:
3. told about in fables; purely imaginary
4. known about only through myths or legends]

Nice story submitted by VanCancue on June 20, 2018, 6:19pm Even as an adult reader this book was pretty good. I imagine a young reader would love it.
