WHAT! I can bake. submitted by seadocks on July 11, 2014, 3:40pm I have tried many times to bake and every time i suck at it. I make cookies, burned. I make cake, gooey in the middle. I made bread, hard as a rock. This time I tried with Josey Baker and it was amazing. I started with lesson one and worked forward. It worked. My family devoured the first loaf, then the next one then the next two. I started making my own sourdough starter and since it takes about two plus weeks of changing out flour and water every two days I was unable to finish it before the book was due back. I have noticed that as the starter has been growing it went from stanky to awesome smelling over the last two weeks. Just a note to anyone thinking of getting this book, get a good loaf pan and use distilled water for the sourdough recipes, city water will take almost an extra week to work. Now if only I had enough time each day to due the folding and feeding I need to do every six hours or I could just do what the book says and take up a lot of fridge space for the dough.

Great Recipes! submitted by zoe.dvh on June 21, 2015, 6:10pm This book has great recipes! I also like the organization and setup of this book. I made my first loaf of bread following a recipe in this book. And I'll tell you what: If you want to learn how to bake quality bread, you're looking at the right book! And I promise you, if you follow the instructions properly, you will end up with a loaf that is truly delicious!

good submitted by rjsjwilliams on August 9, 2018, 12:27pm iF YOU BEGIN AT THE FIRST PAGE AND GO THROUGH TO THE END, YOU SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH BACKGROUND AND KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE SEVERAL KINDS OF BREAD. YOU BETTER GET SOME SOURDOUGH STARTER FROM THE FLOUR CATALOGUE HOWEVER. IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER NEVER HEARD OF JOSEY BAKER HOWEVER, BEFORE THIS BOOK. AM GLAD I FOUND THIS AUTHOR OUT.
