A Modern Sleeping Beauty submitted by marshd on June 22, 2011, 10:33pm Beautiful, sad, and nearly perfect. I would have never believed that the Holocaust and Sleeping Beauty could be related, but Yolen flawlessly unites the two.

Wow submitted by alumeng.ajl on August 5, 2012, 10:30am I don't know how to sum this book up. My first thought after I finished it was, "Wow. This is a really good book." It's one of the best young adult books I have ever read. Something tells me that this is going to last for generations. It's sad and sweet. Becca is the oldest protagonist that I have ever read about at 23 years old, but it makes the story perfect. My favorite part by far is Josef's story that answers all the questions. I was expecting Gemma to be a survivor of the Holocaust from the beginning, but I don't know if that's just because of my intuition of if that was supposed to be known by the reader. This book is absolutely magnificent. I recommend it to everyone, young and old.
