Introduction -- Preface -- Bottle Rocket -- Rushmore -- The Royal Tenenbaums -- The Life Aquatic wtih Steve Zissou -- The Darjeeling Limited -- Fantastic Mr. Fox -- Moonrise Kingdom.
Wes Anderson is one of the most influential voices from the past two decades of American cinema. A true auteur, Anderson is known for the visual artistry, inimitable tone, and idiosyncratic characterizations that make each of his films- 'Bottle Rocket', 'Rushmore', 'The Royal Tenenbaums', 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou', 'The Darjeeling Limited', 'Fantastic Mr. Fox', and 'Moonrise Kingdom'- instantly recognizable as "Andersonian." 'The Wes Anderson Collection' is the first in-depth overview of Anderson's filmography, guiding readers through his life and career. Previously unpublished photos, artwork, and ephemera complement a book-length conversation between Anderson and award-winning critic Matt Zoller Seitz. The interview and images are woven together in a meticulously designed book that captures the spirit of his films: melancholy and playful, wise and childish - and thoroughly original.

Lots of detail in the text, as well as many behind-the-scenes photos and insights. Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan of Mr. Anderson's films.
Oversized. Wish I'd just leafed through it at the library. submitted by lisa on August 9, 2018, 3:07pm Pretty pictures, if you're a fan.
Not just pictures submitted by A2AE on July 19, 2021, 8:02pm If you're a Wes Anderson fan you must read this cover to cover. It has so much information about how his intricate brain works and the thousands of references to other pieces of film and art that he embeds in this films. I promise you'll feel super smart and impress your friends when you tell them what shots from Rushmore were influenced by Citizen Kane and On the Waterfront.
