COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Know when to talk submitted by andrea on August 31, 2012, 10:41pm A wonderful read-aloud about a dog who learns to talk after eating alphabet soup. With her new gift, Martha talks too much and says things that shouldn't be said. Her family gets angry with her and she stops talking, but eventually learns when to talk and when to hold her tongue. Martha Speaks is a funny story with a message many kids can learn from.
clever book! submitted by fairytale on July 18, 2013, 6:28pm This is a clever book about a talking dog. It is a little bit wordy for younger readers, but a funny read-aloud book.
Martha Speaks submitted by SBNB on July 14, 2016, 2:52pm This is the book that tells how Martha learned to speak and the problems that arose with that at first. My daughter likes the show, and she enjoyed reading the book with me.
