COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A poet's voice submitted by Mary Morgan on August 11, 2015, 7:07am If you like Mary Oliver's poetry, you'll enjoy this collection, which mixes thoughtful reflections of an aging New Englander with poems that complement her essays. The topics are both esoteric and prosaic, like reflections on her town's old "burn dump," now overgrown with wildflowers, that's being transformed for a new use: "On these few acres of land, and more, will be established the heartland of our town's sewage, where the buried pipes will converge with the waste of our lives. What a sad hilarity!" It's a slim book, just 101 pages, but rich in content.
