Or your husband? Or even--yourself? People are capable of almost anything. A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors--a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all--a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story. Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. entertaining submitted by myriamrico on July 11, 2017, 8:31am Definitely a quick summer read! A little predictable at times and sometimes the twists felt like they were there for shock value, but I couldn't stop reading!

page turner submitted by potterbee on August 6, 2017, 6:31pm Keeps you reading but some times the writing was a bit repetitive. good ending.

Kept me guessing! submitted by selujules on August 11, 2018, 3:21pm I loved this twisty, dark thriller. I thought I had it figured out several times, and was totally wrong. Kept me guessing!

pretty good; quick read submitted by Beth Manuel on July 16, 2020, 5:16pm This book did have some twisty turns. To me, most of the characters were flawed and unlikeable. Definitely untrustworthy! I guessed a lot of how things turned out. One thing that is annoying in novels is when they make some kinds of mental disorders out to be dark and nefarious. There was a little of that, I guess to move the plot along. I feel neither better nor worse as a person for having read it.

Bit slow submitted by amk08 on August 2, 2020, 11:57am It was a bit slow at times. Still a good thriller story, if you want and easy read.
