charming book submitted by ERGeeting on June 11, 2020, 9:24pm I happened to have this book checked out when the library closed in March 2020 due to Covid-19, so we had the privilege of reading this book over many months before it was due to be returned. The story is so charming, and the beautiful illustrations really add to the story. I love reading this to my daughters (ages 5 and 3) and I feel like we all gain a little something different every time we read it. Themes covered include friendship, hard work/perseverance, changing seasons, environmental stewardship, wildlife conservation, and a bit of magic discovery.
