Great Read-Aloud submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 10:11pm With a storyline constructed around simple repetition and bright, bold illustrations, this picture book is a great choice for reading aloud to all ages. Savage plays around with basic chemistry and ambiguity as the titular truck makes a series of concoctions that technically fit his brief without actually being what anyone asked for (although reasonable minds may differ on their actual desirability). Simple and sweet (literally), this book is quite clever and just the right length to let readers (and listeners) get the gist of what is going on without becoming too predictable or boring.
