For Downton Abby and Upstairs Downstairs Fans submitted by majean on August 9, 2018, 5:18pm At times the story is confusing because of the way the narrative jumps rapidly between points of view. Some have suggested that this is because Fellowes has mostly written for TV, and this would be possible with a script. It does not translate well to novelization. The characters are fine enough, though, and the story is followable. I would like to see this brought to screen. Much is made of the architecture and homes, and I have to rely on my not-so-well-informed imagination.
