A year in the life... submitted by mbruno on August 21, 2015, 6:19pm This is a delightful read, full of sweet details of the first year of Anthony Doerr's life as a father. After reading his award winning novel about a blind girl in Nazi territory, (which I happily discovered he was working on when he wrote this), I wanted to read everything Doerr's has written and have yet to be disappointed. This is the first non fiction I've read from him, and it is as engaging as his fiction. His eye for detail, poignant insights and sense of humor and compassion make this a must read.
