Arthur Penhaligon is supposed to die at a young age, but is saved by a key that is shaped like the minute hand of a clock. The key causes bizarre creatures to come from another realm, bringing with them a plague. A man named Mister Monday will stop at nothing to get the key back. Arthur goes to a mysterious house that only he can see, so that he can learn the truth about himself and the key.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Arthur in Wonderland submitted by marshd on August 3, 2010, 1:43pm A great kickoff for an even better series, Mister Monday introduces us to Arthur Penhaligon, who is an asthmatic boy with very few friends.

When he meets Mister Monday, however, Arthur is essentially turned into a boy version of Lewis Carroll's Alice, and he travels into the topsy-turvy world of the House and its Kingdoms.

Throughout the series, each book of which is named after a character that Arthur must defeat for their parts of a magical Will, Arthur becomes more powerful, gains more friends, and finds himself longing for the normal world from which he came.

This series is great for anyone who loves Percy Jackson or Harry Potter.

I'm different submitted by OKH34 on July 4, 2011, 1:29pm This book is very different, but a good one. (it's especially weird when you come in half way through whilst a friend is reading it). Its strange use of capitolization and very surreal elements make it quite confusing, but a wonderful read. It is very different, even, from the books in it's own series (and twuce as good, in my opinion.). There is more real world, more setup of the story, it's just different. And I like it best out of the series, although the end of the series is spectacular (dont worry, no spoilers). I would recommend getting the entire series and reading it over, and over, and over again. (I think my current count for mister monday is about seven times read through).

An Amazing Series submitted by porglezomp on July 8, 2011, 11:39pm Could you have any better recommendation than a fellow reader informing you that he has read a book 7 times? I just did, now you should go read it.

Monday submitted by Zhengyang1022 on July 18, 2011, 4:23pm This book is like harry potter in a way, and in another way is like fablehaven.
