My Sister's Keeper submitted by bubbles1234 on June 19, 2011, 12:54pm An incredibly sad book, filled with emotion. It tells of desperate parents, an unhappy girl, and her dying sister.

Touching submitted by xoxobrenda on June 25, 2011, 7:44pm This book is full of raw human emotion, family tensions, and dilemmas. It's enough to keep you awake at night...thinking away. It's a must read, especially if you have siblings!

Amazing!! submitted by pbapat on July 15, 2012, 2:15pm This is a great book, wonderfully written. It has a surprising ending and it is extremely moving. Makes you think twice about everyday things you take for granted. Recommended for 13+

Well done. submitted by nicole on June 18, 2013, 4:19pm Usually I hate perspective changes, but I appreciated them in this book. Well done.

Sad but good submitted by Meg98 on June 21, 2013, 9:28pm This is one of the saddest, most touching books I have ever read. It is the story of a young girl who is constantly undergoing surgeries for her cancerous sister and her fight to make her own choices. It includes several unexpected turns. I recommend this book! Just be prepared that it may make you cry if you are sensitive like me :)

Not Bad submitted by mrajraspn08 on August 25, 2013, 9:30am Was not happy with the ending--Picoult proclaims she wanted it to be realistic, but I did not think it was--but when it was changed for the movie, I found I actually liked this one better.

Parenting Fails/successes submitted by Cannonfam on June 18, 2015, 12:23pm This book was a great introduction into how parenting is not always a right or wrong answer, sometimes you are living in the gray. This was done by looking into the different perspectives each person in a given situation may feel or have while struggling with various issues. I highly recommend this book to 13+.

Heartbreaking submitted by dorothyyli on June 18, 2015, 9:40pm This was the first book I've read by this author. Completely heart wrenching and when the reveals happen, it breaks my heart. At the end, all I wanted to say to the mom was, "Are you happy now? You got what you wanted. Be careful of what you wish for."

Disappointing submitted by romanticmind on July 11, 2015, 10:11am Fascinating premise, really interesting moral questions--all ruined by the ending. Skip the last 10 pages if you want to like the book.

Still a book I think about submitted by leah karr on August 11, 2022, 10:30pm I read this book just after the release and still think of it often. Bodily autonomy was important then and is even more important today.

My Sisters Keeper submitted by czadams on August 28, 2022, 9:23am The book is sooo much better than the movie.
I love how this author plays with the moral dilemmas within the medical and law fields, while also giving voices to many of the characters involved the tensions presented! So well written. True page-turner.

devestatingly wonderful submitted by alharman1022 on July 18, 2023, 3:05pm Such a wonderful story with an important point

Not a huge fan... submitted by vclinton on July 23, 2023, 7:17pm I though the twist at the end was convoluted. Wasn't a big fan. Liked Nineteen Minutes better.
