The best submitted by EJZ on August 3, 2018, 9:45pm If you're looking for a wonderful primer in cooking Japanese food, this is it. This book has all kinds of recipes and techniques, and does a fairly good job breaking down the more difficult parts into manageable chunks. I'd prefer a little more visual appeal, but the recipes themselves are quite good.

Highly recommend the Gyudon recipe. My family LOVES it.

Japanese Cooking submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 28, 2019, 10:12pm Learn the fundamentals of Japanese food from this book. It really focuses on details that other cookbooks may ignore, like how to chose the best ingredients. Though there aren't many pictures, the recipes are delicious.
