"A quirky picture book in the spirit of Monty Python about two bumbling knights who keep finding objects in a stove (a sword, a shield, a helmet) ... objects that ominously belong to their missing friend Harold"-- Provided by publisher.

Different submitted by kks on July 12, 2018, 7:39pm Very funny and different pictures. Okay.
Dark, Absurdist Humor submitted by Meginator on July 6, 2019, 7:35pm This book is built around a delightfully dark, absurdist sense of humor that will fly over many young readers’ heads even as they enjoy its surface-level aspects. The illustrations are done in a blocky abstract style that suits the mood perfectly, and the story is advanced solely through dialogue, including some wonderfully imaginative exclamations. A repetitive pattern makes everything easy to follow and culminates in an inevitable final revelation that had me laughing out loud. This book isn’t particularly deep, but it does make for a nice humorous diversion from the norm. Be warned, though, that the twist at the end may be upsetting for some sensitive souls, even though it plays on a trope commonly seen in other settings (some popular fairy tales, for example); I do recommend screening the book if that might be an issue.
