The Witches by Roald Dahl submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 10, 2016, 4:48am This was a scary and delightful one. I really appreciate the folklore Dahl cobbled together and invented about the witches and how they could be thwarted. Reading it as kids, we tried to pretend it didn't really frighten us, but it sure did. But we loved it, and hatched our own witch-thwarting schemes, just in case!

Still, the boy makes the best of a bad situation. I won't read it again.
