No basics but useful lessons otherwise submitted by camelsamba on August 25, 2023, 8:50pm This book is not one with a lot of example projects for you to copy. It does not cover any basics of watercolor painting. Instead, the author focuses on how to see like an artist, how to break down a scene into important elements, how to decide what to focus on. He does say that you can use these "sketches" as a starting point for more elaborate paintings back in the studio. I do not personally like his style of painting or his color palette, but the lessons he presents are valuable.
