Makes Sense To My Toddler submitted by aynsley on August 20, 2019, 11:05pm This book was recommended to me by a child psychologist who suggested it to help children cope with death, prolonged hospital stay, divorce, transition - any situation where the child is separated from a loved one (human or animal) for an indefinite period of time. I wasn’t wowed by the illustrations, but the story is good and accessible to a variety of world views. Above all, my 2-year-old gets it, and seems comforted by the book - so they’re doing something right!

Sweet submitted by Harlowamy on August 28, 2020, 12:02pm This is a great story teaching children about loss.

Great Teaching Tool submitted by GSchne on July 23, 2022, 9:52pm This book is good for teaching children in how to cope with missing someone. The story isn't the star of this book, the lesson is.
