Good, but a bit outdated

It's a good background guide for those of us that are fairly clueless about this type of stuff. A couple of drawbacks - info isn't up to date (was published in 2009) so some things have changed, do some updated research online afterwards.
And it's heavily biased towards Vanguard and John Bogle's investment approaches -- but no big shock there.
