Describes some of the ways that weeds live and grow in the most hostile environments, such as a tangle of tree roots or a crack in the cellar of an old house, where other plants cannot thrive.

Go Weeds Go! submitted by crankycrack on June 25, 2015, 7:18pm A positive look and fitting tribute to plants that are often unfairly demonized. ROUND UP!!!!!!!

Weed power! submitted by FordAlpha on July 7, 2018, 10:30pm This humorous, poetic picture book teaches young kids about weeds’ tenacious adaptations and dispersal ability, with more detailed information about the species at the back of the book. The illustrations are colorful and lively, though not lifelike.

Weed Dispersal for Kids submitted by sdunav on July 25, 2023, 10:10am I was a little disappointed in this children's book about weeds. The artwork was not realistic nor abstract enough to be enjoyable (for me, your mileage may vary). The topic is cool and important - weeds! - but the weeds themselves were only identified in the back of the book (couldn't at least a little label be on the pages they were pictured on?), and the focus was almost exclusively on seed dispersal. I just wanted more - what makes a weed a weed? What is interesting about them besides the fact they are tough and tenacious? How do they relate to people, or nature as a whole?
