Short and entertaining submitted by LibraryMaven on June 24, 2014, 8:44am Ackroyd has yet again created an accessible short read on some of the most interesting aspects of London, all of which are underground. Of interest to Anglophiles, Londonites, and those who are interested in the history of what happens under our feet. However, if one is NOT interested in the history of say, holy wells in London, or lacks patience for philosophical musings about humanity's relationship with water, the pace may drag.
