Campy horror submitted by srakes2425 on March 21, 2024, 2:21pm I wanted to love this book (I love the 80’s as much as the next) but ultimately it fell flat. It almost wasn’t campy enough? I felt like there was too much time spent on high school tropes, and specifically tropes about teenage girls… I wish the last quarter of the book had been focused on more throughout. The campy nature of the exorcist himself was the best part of this book for me. If you’re looking for mind numbing characters and gross shock factors with products from the 80’s at every turn, this is for you.
