Gotta Catch 'Em All submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2022, 6:26pm This delightful picture book tells a funny story while managing to work in some basic arithmetic and even a vague environmentalist message. The plot is straightforward enough for readers of all ages, as a family is inundated with daily penguins from an unknown source and struggles to keep up (but always in humorous ways- the book includes no actual sense of peril), with the illustrations carrying much of the humor and the artist conveying complex facial expressions with relatively broad strokes. It is simply a delight to watch the penguins slowly but surely multiply and take over this poor family’s life (although, despite a few moments of obvious exasperation, they seem to be more or less okay with the situation). This book is excellent for anyone with a slightly wacky sense of humor, and older readers can test their mathematical skills as well.
Very fun book for all ages
