Kephart does it again! submitted by vicki browne on June 18, 2016, 8:25am Kephart is one of those authors that I'd read even before reading the summary; she's earned my trust as someone who lays down language beautifully on the page. Setting is very important to this story, takes place in Haven, a northeast coastal town before the vacationers have returned for the summer. Eva, Deni and Mira are best friends; 3 of 16 total in her class at school. An horrific storm that was assumed to stay out at sea abruptly comes ashore surprising and devastating the people of Haven. The island is six miles long and one-half mile wide, with one lone bridge that connects the island to the mainland. Main character Mira's brother Jasper Lee, has Hunters Syndrome, and a recent set-back finds him and their Mother at a hospital away from the island when the storm hits. Secrets surface with the aftermath of the storm. Strengthen the things that remain. "Only thing in this world isn't replaceable is people. Find your family."
