Heatbreaking and beautiful submitted by ravsara on July 7, 2016, 8:30pm Steinbeck's writing never ceases to amaze me with its striking imagery and simplicity. Gorgeously written, (spoiler alert) but graphic at times with the death of a beloved horse. An unforgettable story about a boy growing older with the sometimes brutal wisdom thatf life experience brings.
