The best one! submitted by PharmRach on June 12, 2021, 7:00pm I did not expect a book about the waterworks to be interesting, but I learned a lot and it was actually quite interesting! The first in the series and my favorite! Not as overwhelming as some of the later books.

Classic Frizzle Hijinks submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2022, 3:18pm This inaugural Magic School Bus adventure finds Ms. Frizzle and her class embarking for a fairly normal destination: the local water treatment facility. Of course, hijinks ensue and everyone ends up gaining a first-hand perspective on the water cycle itself as well as the ways that municipal facilities clean groundwater for human consumption (or at least how they did so in the mid-1980s; I don’t know how accurate this information might be by modern standards). The book feels a little rough around the edges in comparison to the later installments, but the story provides solid groundwork about the class and utilizes the multi-pronged storytelling format that utilizes traditional narration, class reports, and humorous visual asides to excellent combined effect. Even older readers will learn something from this colorful, humorous scientific adventure, and it holds up remarkably well despite its age.
