Several Alphabet Books Hidden Inside a Plot submitted by Meginator on July 25, 2022, 11:40am This picture book has a surprisingly intricate plot, as Bad Kitty goes on an adventure on Christmas Eve and (unsurprisingly) gets more than she bargained for in the process. The book has three(!) sections that run through the entire alphabet, cleverly maintaining the rhythmic and rhyme schemes, and only two of them are mere lists; the first of the three actually pushes the narrative forward in quite a clever way. The illustrations effectively capture the story’s madcap energy and add to its humor, and the book has a heartfelt story at its core that makes it a fitting choice for the holiday season.
