interesting read submitted by airgood on August 29, 2014, 8:28am I didn't know much about Garfield before reading this book. He comes across as an incredible and humble human being. His journey to the presidency was very interesting, and it was heartbreaking to learn that medicine was on the verge of advances and knowledge that could have saved his life.

Learned a Lot! submitted by emroon on July 15, 2022, 2:07pm I knew basically nothing about Garfield before reading this book. It was a really cool look into life in the 1800s and a corrupt and different political machine. It was well written and kept things moving and interesting. I listened to the audiobook and it was great.
