Cool submitted by pixel gamer 3000 on June 17, 2016, 12:33pm Similar to the Choose Your Own Adventure series. Pretty cool.
The Office Adventure submitted by lstorc on August 31, 2019, 11:01pm The Office Adventure is a credible throwback for adults who grew up with the Choose your own Adventure series! This one is definitely meant for adults though!
Very disappointing!

I really wanted to like this book. A "Choose Your Own Adventure" book for grownups sounds really neat, and I was ready to forgive a lot. But I should have been warned off by the word "Misery" in the title. The book starts out with you waking up in a puddle of urine in your bed, with a bad hangover after a night of blackout drunkenness. And it goes downhill from there. The book has liars, sex that ranges from abusive to just gross, unpleasant characters, and just an overall unpleasant vibe to it. The *only* thing I liked about it was that it's a "Choose Your Own Adventure" book for grownups.
If you are a grownup and you liked "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" or "Candide" -- both of which have endless bad things happening to the protagonist -- then this book could be for you. Otherwise, I am sorry to say that I suggest steering clear.

Choose your own misery series.
