ranger submitted by hunterf on July 31, 2011, 2:49pm Action packed series. good reading!

Action Packed submitted by tree64 on August 5, 2011, 6:12am The plot of this book is a continuation of the 5th book of the Ranger's Apprentice series, "The Sorcerer of the North." Although it is not my absolute favorite book in the series, it is still one of my favorites, probably because of the action. If you have read "The Sorcerer of the North," read this, and if you haven't, start reading the series.

Mediocre submitted by jmock on September 3, 2011, 2:04pm This book, like the books in the rest of the series, has a sort of awkward sounding dialog. The voices of the character need more development. For example, the John Flanagan should have made the Skandians' accent, which he described himself, more obvious. At some times, Will's retorts clashes with his normal speech.
Then there's the plot. It's pretty choppy, and plus, the author stinks at romance. (SPOILER ALERT) Near the end, Alyss, who is at the time hypnotized, is about to kill Will. He saves his own life by declaring "I love you. I always have." It's very cliche, and plus it seem like it doesn't fit into the dialogue. It's like dropping a guy talking about Swiss cheese into a conversation about the affects of the S&P rating downgrade on the economy.

I like the action! submitted by AbbyJNg on June 16, 2012, 8:01am there is a lot of fun action going on when Will is sent on yet another mission to save the day!

Great submitted by Nicole Auerbach on July 2, 2012, 6:29pm This is a very good book.

Good wrap-up to book 5 submitted by jcottey on July 16, 2012, 2:13pm This book picks up where number five left off. I enjoyed the addition of new characters who allied with Will for the siege on the castle. Hopefully, some will make appearances in future books.

Yeah! submitted by jenny2012 on July 24, 2012, 6:34pm Awesome Book! Read Book 5 or it will be hard to understand.

Siege of Macindaw submitted by shalinigurl on August 28, 2012, 7:04pm This fast paced book will leave you warped in your own thoughts on this book for hours. No matter what kind of book person you are it fits. From fantasy to historical fiction this is your book!

Good Series submitted by jonathanwang on June 25, 2013, 5:49pm The whole series is full of action. The author should write more books like this with more romance and missions though.
