believable submitted by racoonacon1236 on June 18, 2011, 7:24pm If you stop and think about what is happening in the story, you will realize that is it impossible, but while reading you become so immersed in the story that you forget rationality, and truly believe. Giant rats, bats, and cockroaches seem real, and the pale-skinned underlanders seem normal. Great towering cities of stone, and pitch black tunnels become customary. This book, and entire series is absorbing. I guarantee that after this book, you will want to read them all. For those of you Hunger Games fans, same author, equally great novel.

iffy submitted by steelersfan1 on June 23, 2011, 9:08pm ok book

Great Series submitted by slsk on July 13, 2011, 3:42pm Fun read for kids and adults. It's amazing how the author can make you sympathize with a cockroach character!

o no submitted by alumeng.ajl on August 16, 2011, 7:26am my class read this together last year and i was freaking out. it's disgusting and i didn't really like it. I like romance. I'm sorry, but i just didn't really like this book. It wasn't right for me.

Review submitted by elsun on July 31, 2012, 5:58pm After reading this book, I had to get my hands on the next one as soon as possible. This is an amazing story about a boy named Gregor who falls into another world called the Underland with his sister Boots. There they are discovered by giant cockroaches and brought to the humans. He tries to escape and is attacked by rats. Soon, he discovers that he is the warrior of a prophecy and has to go on a quest to save his dad who dissapeared two years ago. His companions are Boots, two Underlanders, two roaches, two bats, two spiders, one rat, and hopefully later, his dad. But can they succeed? Read the book to find out

awesome submitted by sjaworsk on August 18, 2012, 10:40am this is literally my favorite book ever!

Great book submitted by hjaworsk on August 19, 2012, 6:02pm My sister read the wohle series and I am still on this one and on the first chapter but it is good so far and they had to stop the chapter at the good part, when Boots falls in the hole and Gregor has to go in aswell. But so far it is a great book!

Good book submitted by roboboy on July 7, 2013, 9:19am great book. At first I didn't really want to read Gregor, But when my sister read the fist chapter to me I changed my mind. In Gregor, Gregor and his baby sister Boots fall through the vent in their laundry room and land in the Underland. Gregor is a great book.

good book submitted by Marc8 on June 14, 2014, 9:20am This is a really good book about a guy named Gregor going through prophecys.

Awesome submitted by yash on July 15, 2014, 11:27am This book is a marvelous piece of work from Suzanne Collins. Though not as violent and adventurous as the hunger games, it's a great book for children.

Highly enjoyable submitted by wendylv on August 1, 2015, 4:33pm Wonderful adventure story for both boys and girls. Very fun as a read-aloud.

Great Book submitted by Santiago Fiori on June 16, 2017, 11:23am I once had to read this for my class, and we had to stop at the cliffhanger parts, like right before Henry tries to kill Ripred, and always wanted to continue reading, but couldn't because we weren't allowed to read ahead.

5/5 stars, gets straight into the action!

Easy series for middle schoolers! submitted by Xris on August 28, 2018, 7:39pm I've read this to kids at school at least a couple times, or read it with them. It's not too hard and has an interesting story for them. Gregor goes into the Underworld to find his baby sister and finds unique creatures. Great series!

Fun to read! submitted by yunghwang on June 22, 2019, 9:51pm My 3rd grader and I read a chapter a night. Sometimes 2 chapters, because it was so good.

Want to know what happens next submitted by gabbietucker on July 26, 2019, 5:30pm I like the adventure and the contrast between the characters and how they interact. It's interesting story overall.

One of my favorite books submitted by lancethesharpshooter on June 12, 2020, 7:11pm It is a thrilling adventure that goes through all your emotions!

Good submitted by Paper-Dragon on August 12, 2020, 11:38am I remember loving this book as a kid. Great story and characters.

This series is a winner! submitted by arader24 on June 28, 2022, 6:05pm I love this series. The characters are compelling, and I really enjoy the family dynamics. I also think that it is cool to have a toddler, Boots, that has such an important role in the story and in her brothers life.

Fun submitted by Carrie_Nelson on July 10, 2022, 9:00pm I really liked this book. It is realistic (in a way), and totally interesting. The characters have a lot of depth, and I love how you really get to know the characters through out the book. A wonderful read!

Funny title submitted by HockeyDude on July 25, 2022, 10:04pm Interesting title indeed...

Wonderful storyline submitted by czadams on August 21, 2023, 12:32am As a kid who struggled with reading as a kid.
It took a lot to be motivated to read. The story line and character development made it so this was the first "long" book I read by myself. I loved it.
