Any of them is a great choice for reading practice with a kid who is learning to read. Gerald the Elephant's fussy, worrywart ways occasionally become over-the-top annoying, but Piggie's cheerful spontaneity usually saves the day. This one is not the most outstanding title in the series, but it's still an early-reader that your kid will actually want to read.

Thank you AADL for buying more copies! submitted by rea2mill on July 7, 2022, 3:46pm If the above reviews haven’t yet convinced you this is a great book and that you should check it out and read it to your kid(s), then let’s look at the numbers. As of today when I’m writing this there are 41 copies of this book in AADL’s collection, and only 5 copies are available to check out, and probably many of the 36 people with this book checked out have this out for the second or third (yeah, I think it’s our third time with this one) or possibly 20th time. The last time we checked this out we had to wait a while to get it. Thanks AADL for buying more copies of the Elephant and Piggy books!
