Satisfying Conclusion submitted by brady.emmett on June 23, 2016, 5:30pm This was a satisfying conclusion to the Reckoners trilogy. You may get bored with David's inability to form a good metaphor, or you may not. I did. But the action and the story keeps it lively.
Excellent trilogy

David’s growth through these stories has been fun to watch. Sanderson created a clever world with this trilogy (does he ever not?) and I really enjoy the Epics, their gifts, and their weaknesses. It feels like a next-step up from the _Alcatraz_ books.
_Calamity_ itself is another well-told story. Mostly the characters are ongoing from previous books, with a few new ones added. The plot goes in a broad direction you can guess, but *how* the team will get there is anyone’s guess (sometimes even theirs). It works in the story, and is clever as all get-out.
Sanderson writes wonderful sweeping epic tales (like the Stormlight Archives), but it’s also nice to read something that tells a whole story in 3 books as this series does.
