From a WWII scholar

This was an incredibly interesting read for me. I had a basic knowledge of the Bataan death march before I started, and it was exponentially expanded. One thing I especially liked about the book is that Michael and Elizabeth Norman did not present just the American perspective of the atrocities that happened in the Philippines - they also included testimony and accounts from Japanese soldiers and officers.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in World War II and/or the war in the Pacific.
