Not bad submitted by willow on August 6, 2016, 12:35pm This book provides a systematic introduction to regular cooking (not snacks or desserts). The author provides a variety of main dishes with reasonable complexity such as spaghetti and meatballs, stir fry and rice, and chicken pot pie. There are quite a few dishes that provide higher calorie foods in a meal including vegetables, and this is noted but is likely appropriate for most children who do need a fair amount of fat. Many dishes include meat (chicken, beef, and quite a few with pork/bacon -- no lamb, veal, game, turkey, fish or seafood) and only one with legumes (chili with kidney and black beans); there are a few with green peas. There are snacks and some sweets such as granola bars and popsicles that often feature fruits and grains. Includes a DVD with more cooking instruction. A useful book.
