good submitted by poptart887 on August 4, 2016, 9:27am this book is good. it has definitions and that is a great way to teach children what words mean

Love it submitted by Arseli on June 17, 2018, 11:25pm we borrowed this book second time. My 2.5 year old son likes it very much. Repeating words makes him laugh. He learned new words with it.

fun word play submitted by camelsamba on August 31, 2018, 10:16am This book could be a fun way to introduce your child to word play. Each animal-action homograph combo (e.g. "flounders flounder" and "dogs dog dogs") is accompanied by a colorful illustration. Unobtrusive definitions of the verb form appear in the upper corner. At the very end of the book, a 2 page spread provides more detailed definitions of the words; this would likely be most interesting to the parent or an older child.

Too bad she didn't use "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo" though!

My main quibble with the book is the pairs where the verb form came from the animal - e.g. "apes ape" (the 5th spread in the book - and then multiple in a row were like this). I felt like that was cheating somehow. But in the end, only 6 or 7 of the 18 are this format. And the section at the end, which elaborates on the definitions, mitigated my disappointment a bit.
