Ivy + Bean submitted by LibraryLiz on June 18, 2017, 11:28pm A chapter book for kids who need a bit more words to the page than pictures, and promotes giving someone new a chance to surprise you and change your first impressions. But also these two girls can get into a bit of trouble, so don't let the little ones get too many ideas. The storytelling is very imaginative, and the few pictures inside do well to illustrate the ideas.

Ivy and Bean submitted by Lilah Stein on June 19, 2017, 4:09pm I like it cause it's not scary, funny, and has a happy ending to it. I think this book would be good for first graders, (though I am not one ) and people who end up together by coincidence. I think you might enjoy this book! HAVE FUN!

A favorite! submitted by andrea on August 31, 2018, 10:57pm This series is a favorite of my 9-year-old daughter. We read a few of them together, and they are really fun. She also enjoyed reading several of them on her own. These are creative stories of friends who have a lot of fun and get into a little trouble. They are strong, non-stereotypical female characters, which I appreciate.

I also like how Bean gets mad at Nancy, Bean's older sister, because she is being mean to Ivy. This hilarious book shows the importance of friendship.
