amusing, great writing, a little nutsy

If you loved Janzen's first book "Mennonite in a Black Dress" you'll probably like this one, too. She's back with her great humor and excellent writing. She's a humorist for people who like unusual words. Honestly, I;m a pretty big reader, but fairly often, she uses some rare word that I've never heard or seen before. So, I look it up, thinking she's just made it up, and there it is, full definition and she's used it appropriately.
This book however, is heavier on the (Christian) faith than the first book. In fact in this book, Janzen goes so far in marrying a man so unlike her in history, background and religion, I find it hard to believe she took this plunge (though she did.) He's a Pentecostal, and she joins his church, which is as different from Mennonite in its worship as it could possibly be. Sadly, I fully expect her next book to be titled "Mennonite Moves On" and to be about her divorce.
Still, if you like her writing, you'll enjoy this book.
