Good submitted by jarroyo on July 9, 2013, 2:44pm This is a good book. My children love Curious George books and this one is no exception.

Good submitted by mdfalb on July 25, 2014, 10:22am If you want to know the origins of CG, well here it is. The book is pretty cute, apart from the slightly sad fact that he is captured in Africa by the man with the yellow hat...

Good submitted by kathiravan on June 27, 2017, 11:00am This is George. He was a good little monkey. Kids will like it.

The best one submitted by karenkay on July 22, 2017, 8:30pm This is a great Curious George book

george is a favorite submitted by halliejewell on July 12, 2018, 3:55pm this is a classic that i loved as a kid and my daughters love now!

Great! submitted by TLW1998 on July 12, 2019, 3:01pm We love Curious George books. They seem to be able the right length of a story for a toddler.

Didn’t read this as a kid submitted by rea2mill on July 19, 2019, 4:11pm So I think a lot of people have a great deal of nostalgia for this book which may be causing them to overlook some of the short comings of the original Curious George. It is starting to show its age a bit with things happening like the monkey being essentially kidnapped, or smoking a pipe before bed. It’s also a little wordier than necessary on a lot of pages, which we’ve found true with other classic older children’ books like The Little Engine That Could by Watty Pipper, or Choo Choo by Virginia Lee Burton. We still enjoyed those books and this one with our toddler, but they are books you should read to a toddler with a good attention span. It might be a little long for the average small toddler. On the whole still a good children’s book and worth checking out.

Best submitted by Kanchan21 on July 10, 2020, 7:36am We love george!!

Classic submitted by mlabarre on July 26, 2020, 10:10am Still a wonderful book after all these years.

We love curios George submitted by Harlowamy on August 24, 2020, 9:25pm This classic is a bit different from the modern curious George. The man with the yellow hat isn’t the lovable best friend and they smoke pipes, but we still enjoyed.

What is it that makes a classic? submitted by jibkidder on July 7, 2022, 10:59pm Stick with the HA Rey's and skip the later fake George's. There is something about these original books that truly resonate with kids. "Pretzel" is good too.

classic submitted by sandri on August 11, 2022, 3:24pm my son loved this series as a child

Why do kids love these long winding stories? submitted by robinmariepeterson on June 24, 2023, 2:59pm Idk but they do! There’s a scene where George gets thrown in jail which I don’t love, but it does provide an opportunity to talk about decarceration, if that’s your jam.

Classic submitted by aylinjerkins on July 8, 2023, 7:43pm I love reading this book because I used to read this as a kid and loved it. However, my kids think the book is "boring"
