For the WWII buff. submitted by GJBarnett2 on August 14, 2011, 9:11am An unexpectedly articulate but obviously ghostwritten (Murphy was almost entirely uneducated) "autobiography" of the most highly decorated American soldier of WWII. A must-read for anyone with an interest in WWII from the viewpoint of "the man in the foxhole." Murphy was an ordinary rifleman in the 3d Infantry Division who rose from private to 2d Lt on the strength of remarkable courage, great skill with weapons and no small measure of sheer luck.
Wonderful submitted by 0liviap0pp on August 22, 2011, 7:01am A great "autobiography" of Audie Murphy.
