One of Potter's simplest submitted by FordAlpha on July 21, 2018, 9:32pm Meant for babies, this little morality play is one of Beatrix Potter's simplest stories. It's more of a brief vignette than a fleshed-out tale and lacks the creativity and wry humor of her best-known tales. The plot is simple: the bad rabbit steals a carrot from a good rabbit, who runs off and hides. A hunter spots the bad rabbit munching the stolen carrot and shoots at it, but only shoots off its whiskers and tail. The illustrations are lovely as always, but there's not much re-reading value.
