COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Hitler's Furies: German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields submitted by Jumb1e on November 18, 2020, 1:42pm I viewed a program from the United States Holocaust Museum wherein Professor Lower was a participant. She ably communicated the process by which ordinary German women were psychologically transformed into actors in the mass killings. These women - often in their twenties - served as military nurses, secretaries, etc. in the occupied territories in the East. There they were introduced to the horror of war, along with experiencing events that reinforced the teachings of the Nazi regime. I look forward to reading this book.
