Awesome book! submitted by enano.2 on July 15, 2019, 2:26pm This book was very well written and it kept me engaged the entire time! The ending was very astonishing, and I kept changing my suspicions throughout the entire book! I think this book is very entertaining, although it was a bit slow at first. However, it really demonstrates why Agatha Christie became such a famous author and I highly recommend it!

Great mystery submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 22, 2020, 1:01am This was the first Agatha Christie book I ever read and I really enjoyed it. It was a cozy and mysterious, and there is such a distinct atmosphere to it that kept me engaged.

Poirot Starts Strong submitted by Meginator on June 12, 2021, 9:47am This is the first Hercule Poirot mystery and it lays the groundwork for much of what is to follow. The mystery itself revolves around a poisoning, and Christie does an excellent job of slowly shifting the reader’s suspicions among the cast of characters and a large line-up of potential suspects. At one point I was foolish enough to think that I had outsmarted her (if not Poirot himself, in whom I have the highest confidence), but the solution was very clever and surprising. I highly recommend this for fans of traditional detective stories; there’s a reason Christie’s legacy is so long-lasting.
