Good one submitted by rimpopu on July 16, 2014, 9:10pm Elephant and Piggie books are good reads for preschoolers to early kindergartners although the older kindergartners may also enjoy reading these book. Each page has a few words or a sentence or no dialogues. So it is very easy for beginning readers as they don't feel overwhelmed by number of words. The pictures are simple and lovable. For those who can read more than a sentence or two comfortably they may find elephant and piggie books a little too simple to read, and may want to try something with a little more story and words.

:) submitted by maywang on April 7, 2017, 1:18pm A very funny book. At the beginning, Gerald buys an ice cream. But Gerald keeps worrying about if he should eat the ice cream or share it. He makes a plan about surprising Piggie... but his ice cream melts after he finishes his plan. But Piggie ends up surprising Gerald! An awesome finish.

Sweet and straightforward submitted by PharmRach on August 12, 2020, 9:02pm My 20 month old loves this story- it’s simple enough that she can understand it (at least she seems to), with fun humor for both the adults and kids. My 5 year old is just tipping her toes into learning to read, and I bet we will be able to read this together soon!

I wish I could be friends with Piggy because she is so cute and nice and same with Gerald. They get along together very well.

Thanks AADL for buying more copies! submitted by rea2mill on July 7, 2022, 2:23pm If the above reviews haven’t yet convinced you this is a great book and that you should check it out and read it to your kid(s), then let’s look at the numbers. As of today when I’m writing this there are 51 copies of this book in AADL’s collection, and only 7 copies are available to check out, and probably many of the 44 people with this book checked out have this out for the second or third or possibly 20th time. The last time we checked this out we had to wait a while to get it. Thanks AADL for buying more copies of the Elephant and Piggy books!
